It is important to do core workouts vs. just ab workouts because your core supports every move you make. Get ready for the burn.
Core Workout #1
This workout consists of the absolute best core exercise out there: the plank. There are seven different versions of you typical plank incorporated into this core workout. When performing any of these planks, keep your core tight. The easiest way to keep your core tight is to push your heels behind you and squeeze you butt. Don’t sag in the lower back and don’t stick your butt up in the air. Just keep your core tight and your back flat to feel a serious burn with this core workout.
Core Workout #2
This core workout is going to seem easy for the first couple rounds. Trust me, stick with the plan because by the time you get halfway through you will be wondering if you can finish. You can finish. If toes to bar is too difficult, do hanging leg or knee raises. Same goes for the knees to elbows. That being said, give the harder moves a try. Do two or three of the harder move before switching. If you don’t push yourself, you won’t see the results you want. Keep pushing.
Core Workout #3
Don’t let three-hundred reps deter you. The goal of this workout is to feel a serious burn in your abs. Try to rest as little as possible. That being said, take rests when your form begins to fail. If you are doing the exercises with good form, the burn will come quick. On the Superman’s, lay on your stomach. At the same time, pick your arms and legs up off the floor using your lower back. Hold for a second, then lower back down. Repeat 20 times. The Superman is an excellent move to get rid of those love handles! Want a challenge? Try to do this workout in less than twelve minutes.
